Dr. Gaffney, my new bone consultant, filled me in on today's topic: Arthritic Changes in the Adult Knee.I stopped in to have a consult after experiencing the pain to end all pains when I went from a sitting to standing position last Saturday and nearly collapsed like the proverbial sack of potatoes.
My right knee shows - like the example above - arthritic changes. Loss of cartilage and bone spurs that introduced me to the concept of excruciating pain. The sharp, sudden, seeing stars kind of pain. Now I have something to look forward to. Titanium knees.
